A takedown means the page is gone, and stays gone.
Billable when any of these happen
- The registrar or registry places the domain on hold
- The domain stops resolving
- Nameservers move to a suspension service
- The page is removed, or replaced with a seizure notice
Verified by our own re-check, and it must last seven days before we invoice.
Not billable
- A browser warning appearsSafe Browsing and SmartScreen blocklisting leave the page live. A determined victim clicks through. We report blocklisting but never charge for it.
- It went down before we sent our noticeWe bill only for removals that follow our notice.
- It comes back within a weekA removal that reverses within seven days is not billed. If the page comes back, it is a new case.
